Now this all might be something and nothing, but I would not forgive myself if I stood by and didn't say a word to you all.

A couple of hours after reading the above, this came up on my newsfeed:

And today the government actually phoned up through our doctor's surgery under a witheld number, to follow up on Jake (my little brother, Wightsnowolf) not having his MMR vaccine yet. My point being that they have NEVER followed up on vaccines personally like that, and have also NEVER phoned up for it. They've never been any more direct than just sending a notice to schools to remind parents in the newsletter :S

It's just a little strange, and I wonder if Torchwood should be taken as a warning

I'm putting my tin-foil hat on for this one methinks. It's not like the governments have never done anything like this before, is it?

I'd hate for good, innocent people, friends and loved ones to be part of a number in a history textbook one day because of this. Or even worse, forgotten forever.

well, thats actually pretty shocking, absolutely mental. And i like jake and would never wish anything like swine flu on anyone (well maybe some ). But after reading both of those links all i can think is 'stuff' happens ...

but this whole thing with someone contacting ur GP about jake is a litle suspicious, maybe you and your fam should be extra extra carefull with him if hes that interesting. Lol but wouldn't it be cool if he was 'the chosen one', only he can rid the world of swine flu, by taking a pork scrathin to a volcano and throwing itis before things get worse (like the obsure Lord of the Rings refference there?) anyway, jake, get better lad, you'll be at kung fu kicking a**e in no time

And sorry lol - I didn't mean to give the impression he was ill

He's just not had his scheduled MMR vaccine (Measles, Mumps and Rhubella) because my mum doesn't trust them - in some cases the pathogens have been not completely dormant and have CAUSED the illness rather than helped the immune response peacefully. Also because Measles and Mumps aren't so bad, and Rhubella is practically extinct around here.

Funnily enough, "H1N1 Alert" (the government's Swine Flu Twitter account lol) decided to follow me minutes after I posted I'm sure that's just coincidence though...
